With a corp as big as McDonalds,I'm sure it's a blend made by them only for them. One reason it's so good is that it's always fresh.

I try to sample all the major coffee chains, some have great stuff, but most are not strong enough, I'm willing to pay 50 cents more to have a drink I can taste the espresso in, rather then save the 50 cents to get a funky drink. I usually just get brewed coffee, and McD's tastes like coffee-flavored water, and Starbucks gives free refills on coffee!

Depending on the area of the country, I think McDonald's uses different coffees. In the Northeast, they use Green Mountain coffee from Vermont that is commercially available at many of our local grocery stores. In Maine, at least, they are also test-marketing Caramel Iced Coffee which is wonderful. You have to tell them to go easy on the ice, or you'll end up with a watery brew, though. It has a nice not-too-sweet taste with a hint of ceramel. I'm not sure if the iced coffee is Green Mountain or not, however, the hot coffee definitely is.

I'd say ask them. I know their iced tea is Costco brand.
