Just imagine if we did, films would then need to be retitled;
Lord of the Walks
The Walk
The Curse of the Walk
then, what about the saying - a walk in the ointment, how time walks, as the crow walks, to walk off the handle, etc.
Never gave a thought how useful wings are, without them the English language would be somewhat duller and have to be edited.

I would have to say it would be called an eat-your-dinner-then-regurgitate-on-it-pest. As it should be called
I don't think the names of any other things would have changed because the first noticeable thing that man saw fly was a bird.
BUT I guess we wouldn't have fly swatters
but then again we wouldn't need them because we would be able to step on them,then they wouldn't be bothersome

No! I'd call it a cab. With the great distances that flies must travel, it would take forever for a walk to take them where they are going.
