I just posted a question similar to yours.

I try my best not to buy things from China but how am I supposed to know that the gluten in my bread is coming from China unless it is clearly stated.

There should be a ban from any food ingredient coming from China, I don't buy fruits or vegetables from other countries because they use pesticides and herbicides that are not allowed here any longer, I buy local too.

When the dollar stores started a long time ago, I always wondered what was in that so-called windex or soap costing just 1 dollar, I never trusted those knock-offs. Well,I was right to feel that way.

Ok issues such as these have been coming up recently... the actual reason goes like this.... U might be buying stuffs from your local market at say USD 5/- but ur agents and distributors ( the buyers) are not aiming for quality... all they argue abt is money. They can buy a good quality stuffs from China for a really good price... no they dont care... they r competing with other buys from their own cities. This is wat they say.... " Cut down the quality give us a better price".

They want to the buy the very same stuff for USD 0.20/pc making their profit margins higher and decreasing the quality. Well call this business tactics or watever.

Iam not a chinese.... but well i live here and know a little abt all this. The problem is everybody is suddenly noticing China.... and they are having a booming growth. How can other nations stop them?

Iam not very passionate abt China or their believes.... but i have to admit... they know wat they r doing. Also cannt take the blame totally off them, Growth brings Greed.

Dont question China alone if ur products are tainted....... ask ur distributors.

Trouble is we need there goods and services as what we get is affordable. If the US had to produce the same product with out people probably unionized the same products would be 3-4 times more costly and in many cases in this country we don't even have a factory to produce some of those products.

We definitely need to rethink it but as long as piles of "dead presidents" are doing the talking, I think we're screwed!
