Vista is still new and thus requires the latest versions of most software. At this point i have had no major issues with Vista, some older games to awhile longer to install but worked fine.

Alot of people are upset at Vista because it requires a GOOD computer. The effects are nice and the gadgets are well incorporated. I have yet to find software that is not compadible with Vista (any major software)

All of the bad things you hear about Vista are the same complaints you heard when XP was first released. In time everything will be compadible. Also Vista has DirectX10 and well XP doesnt currently support DirectX10.
