i have a cartier watch?

Question

with stainless steel wristband
it seems like a chunky 60s style
design!
,on the dialface it has cartier written on it
and Swiss at the bottom,
it has no other markings on it
it looks and feels genuine
how much would it cost second
hand to buy?

it is a mans watch
also a protuding wind up button
for moving time and date,the little date part where 3oclk would go is magnyfied

New Cartier watches run about $3-5K but are also frequent targets of counterfeiters. Their designs still have a very classic look so this may actually be a recent design. Assuming it's in good condition and authentic, it's probably worth at least 1000 and potentially much more. Check out Cartier's website to find a dealer, take the watch to them to have them tell you if it's real. If it is eBay or Bernardwatch.com are good places to sell.

If so, the list price is around $5000 new and you could probably sell or buy used for around $2500 if it's genuine. One quick check is to look at the V on the number VII. Does it say Cartier inside the V? If not, it's fake.

Authentic Cartier watches do not say Swiss at the bottom. It is a French company, so what you have is fake.

I don't know how much to buy second hand. But if you want to sell don't go to a jeweller. Ebay is by far the best way to find and get the true value. (In my opinion) You will get all the collectors who understand and appreciate these watches.
