To become a chef u need to do a hotel management course.
For this there are various institutes in mumbai but the standard one which has branches all over india is located at shivaji park. U need to visit there collect a form and prospectus & go through an entrance test after that, based upon ur marks in the entrance test u will be called upon for a short interview. On clearing the interview u will be offered a seat in one of the locations of ur choice. They have their branches situated at some of the best hill stations & tourist places in india such as mussorie, goa, bangalore, ooty etc.....
In mumbai they their branch at shivaji park from where u will collect ur form.
Other colleges like Atharva in Malad and so on offer hotel management courses.
