The national average is 150 dollars per sq ft. But it differs in areas like that. You can contact local contractors and ask them what they charge per sq ft.
OR better yet, have a prefab build for you. Theyre more eco friendly, safer, better quality and stronger, and more efficient, and in most cases cheaper than stick built.

don't know but ny friends house burned down a few years ago and he has to call inspectors and they all want a chunk cause hes not affiliated with any construction company they dont give a and they know they got em by the this is in seaford.he doesnt have his own co. so he hires and does what he can and its still far off from being done.i dont know how it is where you are or if you have a construction co but there are some real shiesters out here so be careful permits licenses inspections you want to live in a rock everyone wants to get paid and they take there time if they dont get taken care of if you know what i mean so if time is a factor money talks. there are alot of home depots or something like it and you got it all give them a call. i just dont think its worth it most of the time to just build one house they build all those condiminiums and coops now with the golf courses like florida out east some where like the hamptons out east is nice but super expensive.lots of bs over head red tape. or get a sturdy card board box cut a hole for a door one for a window and its FREE draw a number on it and you have an address they still come for the pay outs like flies make a bunch surround them with old shopping carts and you have a gated community and then theres carting services have fun in order to install a light bulb you will need a license and a permit and insurance and whatever else you can think of to stop you and take your money i am a professional light bulb installer "Light Bulb Installations INC." $50 per light bulb got a light bulb in need of changing we will send an expeirenced light bulb technician to change your bulbs while you get lighter. in the pockets

It will depend on your location, building codes, zoning laws, price of building permit, sewer and water hook up. Are you sure you can only have a 1000 sq. ft. home in your town? I am sure there are places your cost might be as low as $75.00. On the higher side, $500.00. My area $180.00 for 2000 sq ft. usually a 1000 will be more per sq ft as the cost of the kitchen and baths cost much more than a bed room. I suggest you talk too builders in your area for a better estimate.

then your just wanting the pricing of a house, my ex's family was making a 3 bedroom house and it will only cost about 50,000. It's always cheaper if you build it yourself. getting someone else out there...materials, labor, shipping cost. It will prolly cross the 300,000 mark without the cost of land

The price is around $125/SF. This does not include upgrades. I am a real estate appraiser and my friend's father is a builder in Long Island.
