Democrats favor abstinence-only family planning?

1.Why is the Democratic Congress not getting rid of Bush's abstinence only family planning program?
Why are Democrats still funding it?

2. Why is the Democratic Congress increasing Title X abstinence-only family planning funding by $ 27 million
to $ 140 million
(A bigger increase than the Republicans ever gave this flawed waste of money program)

Will liberals be blamed for this too?

They're taking, as much as they can, the pro-family argument away from the GOP so it will be one less thing the GOP candidate can hit the Dem candidate with in the 2008 debates.

After the 2008 elections, if the Dems take the White House and a filibuster-proof majority in the House & Senate, you will see A LOT of this kind of BS legislation removed.

Pick your battles. . .

That is smart politics. Is it going to hurt anyone if they are told abstinence? They can be taught about sex from the schoolyard, just like the Republicans like. And then when the birth rate amongst teens goes up yet again, we can tell the idiot in office that it isn't working.

I think the bigger issue is getting our soldiers home from the sham of a war they are in.

Conservatives would tell you that it's because Democrats want more kids to have oral sex and have abortions performed. Those are the real results of having an "abstinance only" sex ed program.

Since republicans have no clue what they are talking about sex education is left to liberals .
This means more money going into liberal pockets is all .
