maples rummy, have you ever herd of it?

well when i was little, my great grandpa, taught me this card game. We played it, and i still play it even tho he is dead now. Did he make up the game? I have played rummy, the tile rummy, and other versions of it, and it is completely different, so i was wondereing if he made up of maples rummy, or if it is a game with a new name. if you want to know how to play it i will pass the rules and how to play down to you, even tho it is way easier to learn while playing. it is really fun and i just wanted to know if he made it up, because he was a genious in my opinion. I looked at lots of sites on the web, but couldn't find anything about Maples Rummy.

You should write the rules and then submit it to:

which is a website which lists tons and tons of cardgames. Or, you could look at rules of other games there and see if the game you know is there, but by another name, which happens a lot with card games.
