I'm not a collector or know anything really about dolls but while looking to purchase a good quality, life-like baby doll, I noticed the term "reborn" dolls especially the brand Berenguer. What are reborn dolls?

The artist buys a plain doll and then paints the skin, facial features, puts in eyes, eyelashes, hair, dresses it, and sells it as reborn.

They are baby dolls that are completely redone to look like life like babies, Berenguer dolls are a popular brand to reborn. Some are very well done and can be very expensive.
