more fans the merrier. being in hawaii, there are hardly any charger fans. they have been, over the past two years, growing. it's always nice to see someone else sporting the same team as you, bandwagon or not. only thing that bothers me about bandwagoners is when they talk s-h-i-t about how good their team is, and how they have nothing to do with their previous team. GO BOLTS!!!!

America loves winners. If your team doesnt win, the fans dont come out. If your team doesnt win, you don't get new fans. If your team doesnt win, your team doesnt get the media.
I should know better then anyother team about bandwagon fans. I was born and raised a USC fan. I am a USC Alum and I have been there through the dog years when not even half the stadium was filled. Now every game is sold out, the crowd is pumpin. People can say what they want about bandwagoners but I rather see a full stadium then an empty one.

bandwagon fans, frontrunning fans and the like ARE THE WORST TYPES OF FANS OUT THERE
they are bad because::
they will only be fans while the team is playing well. if / when the chargers slump again you wont see those fans anymore
they go out and by all the gear so that people will know they are fans, but a diehard wears the same jersey/cap he had 10 years ago
the worst part about the bandwagoneers is that they will change allegiances to the next big thing. if the bolts fall and the raiders pick up, you'll see those ppl wearing jamarcus russel jerseys and silver/black caps
its part of sports, and its something we cant rid
Go Giants!! fan since birth. runs in the blood

Bandwagon fans dont bother me. They want to ride the bandwagon, whatever. Why should I care. Its either im rubbing it in your face or Im giving you a high five. What does bother me is when there is a bandwagon fans and he know nothing about the team except that they are winning and has no interest in learning more about the team. OTherwise I really dont care. I am somewhat bothered by bandwagon haters, ITs like they have some sort of insecurity regarding their fan status when it comes to band wagon fans. Saying your a better or bigger fan then someone else is just stupid. It just doesnt make sense to me. Youre either a fan or not a fan, what is a bigger or better fan entail? Thats like 2 friends of one person arguing who is a better friend. Thats just silly.

yes, ive always stuck with my teams. I mean c'mon i'm a raiders fan and yes i like the leafs and the blue jays. Theese teamsaren't going anywhere soon, but when they do i can say i've been a true fan from day 1. My brother was a devil fan - red wings and now a senators fan. I think theese are people who truly don't love the sport and just want to look like winners. However they do have free choice who they want to cheer for. But just remember when your team wins it all, you can say you've been there contributing to the team spirit from day 1 which makes it so much nicer for you when they win. For example right now in the Canadian football league my team made it to playoffs 1 time in last 8 years but let me tell you when they finally do come around and win 1 it will mean that much more to me than the bandwagon jumper who takes my team when there doing good!
Don't know if that answers your question but stick by your team no matter what and if your refferring to the Chargers i like LT but being a raiders fan i hope SD loses every game. Sorry but we are in same division and the black hole will swallow them up.
haha anyways stick by your team and stay REAL!

As the cowboys team being my second favorite team the Browns being the first(damn Bengals kept us out the playoffs). I don't like the giants because im a cowboy fan. But I think cowboy fans have alot of reason to root for the giants instead of the pat. First off the Pats semi arrogance. "Oh really were only going to score 17 points?" Nobody in the NFL likes that. Then you gotta think, the cowboys are a dynasty, the last thing the fans in Dallas want is another dynasty that might rival theirs. Plus the cowboys can say, "the team that went through us won the superbowl". I wouldn;t call then bandwagoners I would just call it uniting for a common rival. In less than a month the bad mouthing will start back up.

Bandwagon fans don't bother me. I assume they just like the sport and a particular team(s) for different reasons than I do, and that's....okay. ;)
I enjoy seeing my team build into a champion. I like following particular players on my team. I feel a connection between the franchise and the community around it.
Others may enjoy the sport itself in a more general way than I do, and could get more enjoyment out of watching two teams that I don't care about play. One doesn't have to be emotionally invested in a team or town to enjoy watching the sport. And if a particular team is playing really well, it stands to reason that they'd be drawn to that team.
It can be annoying when someone who has been a long-time fan of another team starts talking like they've been a long-time fan of your team, or vice-versa. That would fall under the category of "poser" i.e., pretending to be someone/something you're not. But because I care about my team, I encourage casual or unaffiliated fans to become fans of my team, even if that means they have to jump on a "bandwagon" to do so. I don't think negatively about fellow fans of my team, no matter how long they've followed the team, although any fan can be annoying if they pretend to know something they don't, or be something they're not.

I am a huge Bears fan always have been, and the issue I have with it is that the bandwagon fans only came around during the superbowl run, they weren't there in the early 90's when we lost a bunch of talent. and they weren't there when the 49ers were beating us by 40. Now everybody kinds just flocks to the bears because of a winning season that sucks. If you are a true bears fan you stick by your team no matter if Grossman throws 3 td's or 4 int's.

Yes I am bothered by bandwagoners. Where did all these 49er fans come from? I didn't see anyone wearing their merchandise until this past season and they didn't even have a winning record.
Also a bit of a confession...I am a diehard Seahawks fan because I was born in Washington. But I like the Patriots. Why? It's because of Tom Terrific. He reminds me of Elway when he used to destroy us in the 80's and 90's. I can't hate a winner.

Having lots of fans when your team is good is always a great thing, but many fans jump ship during tumultuous times, and yes it does bother me. The NFL is chock full of these types. The fan I respect the most is one who sticks with their team through thick and thin, whether it'd be a 16-0 or an 0-16 season. I know a guy who has been a Raiders fan since the 70s, and obviously he and his fellow fans haven't had much to cheer about since losing Super Bowl XXXVII to Tampa Bay, but you gotta hand it to those that still bleed their team's colors during a miserable season.
Go Steelers :)
