How do I get my computer up and running?

I bought an older system on eBay last year, and when you try to boot it up, you get a screen that says: SYSTEM DISABLED".
How do I correct that? I'd like to slug the
jerk who sold it to me, but it's too late now.

First you need to check the hard drive for errors. You may need to completely disconnect it and hook it up to another computer and use it to format the drive. Then re hook the hard drive back up to the computer.
