It starts like the passion of the Christ, the last days of Jesus before he's crusified, it's a WHAT IF story, Jesus starts having doubts if it's worth dying for humanity's sins, the situation is made worse by a Character spat from hell to 'persuade' Jesus how much he can do with his powers, Jesus tries to ignore the messenger from Hell, however a series of events (cant type all the details) leads to Jesus using his powers to punish those who tried to crusify him, it angers God that he descends down to Earth in his human form to confront Jesus, at the same time satan makes a rare appearance on Earth, a three way battle of words starts, after living for years with humanity, J believes humanity should be led with an iron fist, God believes in a free world, Satan wants to join forces with Jesus and conquer the world and heavens, however Jesus feels no need for Satan, so they disagree, with Satan leading Hell, Jesus leading Earth and God rulling the heavens, a three way battle is on its way

I think a weak plot is a very kind thing to say about your book idea.

It really depends on how you excute it. Most story's on the surface don't have a very exciting plot. What makes them great is how they excute the idea. I'd have to actually read your work to get a better idea of how you would do it. But its not a bad idea, I mean I've heard a lot worse.
Question though, why would Jesus want to rule Earth with an iron fist. It goes againts everything in his character in the Bible. Maybe you should do some more research and iron out some of the details.

Who told you it had a weak plot? Do their opinions really count? There are very wide ranges of readers out there, only a professional can tell you if it really is marketable or not.

If you really want to know, start by querying literary agents. There are several websites out there that will help you find an agent, my favorite is QueryTracker.net at http://www.querytracker.net/ . It is free and has a list of literary agents and also tools to help you keep track of who you already queried and who you haven't, plus more.

They do a good job of keeping the crooks off their lists, but it is still a good idea to double check at http://www.sfwa.org/beware/twentyworst.h...

There are a lot of crooks out there. Never pay anyone to read or publish your book. A real agent will never ask for money except as a percentage of your royalties.

Keep in mind that finding an agent and getting published is not an easy process. Some people have to query hundreds of agents before they find one who will accept them (sadly, some never get accepted), but be persistent and keep trying.

You should also visit http://www.absolutewrite.com/forums/, one of the largest forums for writers. They can be very helpful.

Good luck.

One major problem with your work is grammar and spelling. For example, "crusify" is not a word. The word is "crucify." "Rulling" is not a word, either. The word is "ruling." You also have many comma splices (a threeway [three way] battle of words [did you mean "worlds"?] starts, [comma splice] after living for years with humanity). A book manuscript with major spelling and grammar errors is not likely to get published no matter how good the plot is. No reputable publishing house will take such an amateurish effort seriously. I suggest you spend some time on the basics if you really wish to be published.

I answered your other Q about this book but after reading philm's answer I started thinking about this from a comedy point of view....if you wanted to do that I would suggest reading Lamb by Christopher Moore or Good Omens by Neil Gaiman......you can see how funny religion can be..... I still say go for it!

Hello
Well as for me I wouldnt read this book because its not not my thing and so what if someone on here says you have a weak plot like it matters what we all think if you want to write the book and feel passionate enough about it do it! No one book wil please everyone! So a couple people dont like the idea that means there are a couple people who do! So do what you want!

It's very difficult for a new author to get published. The easiest thing to do is to write a cookbook first. Then you are a published author & the next book will be taken seriously.
