I'm old enough to remember that some of my friends made chains out of gum wrappers...but sadly, I never knew how.

Yup -Remember how to make the links, too!

First fold in half the long way, then open again.

Next, fold the outer edges into the center crease you just made, and make a tight fold. (Should look like doors opening).

Repeat this process of the outside edges to the same middle crease.

Fold in half the long way, along that middle crease.

Finally, just bring two ends to center.

Then bend the tips of those to the creases you just made.


Fold down flat, and crease in half at center. Ta da!

I also made alot of Starburst wrapper chains with these- you could eat them faster!

I have never made chains out of gum wrappers, but I use to use clovers to make chains with.

Yep! Also...remember passing time by very carefully trying to separate the foil from the paper part of the wrappers! Yeah I know...Boring!

Yes!! & and rubber band balls, Clackers or Popper Knockers (they drove our parents crazy), hopscotch, freeze tag, red rover red rover, stilts, red light green light, marbles, wet willies, crack the whip & so many I have forgotten. Those were the days, I wish I could go back!!!
