Last time I checked the war was started while we had a republican congress and republican president. The Democratic congress has been in power for only 6 months, last time I checked the problems we are having in Iraq have started a long time ago, like 3 years ago. Also all of the planning for this war was done by the republican administration not by the far lefties that people love to blame. Even noted republicans like John McCain said the administration had done a horrible job in planning for this war. How is it the liberals fault?

I haven't heard anyone attempt to place the blame squarely on the shoulders of liberals.

However, the blame (or credit) should go to everyone who voted for the war, which includes several Democrats, including the Democratic presidential front-runner.

All of the blame cannot be attributed to the right, despite how much the armchair internet warriors want it to be.

No one is blaming liberals...we are pointing out that you blame Bush for everything while ignoring how the politicians that represent you pushed for this and voted for this war before Bush was in office, and then have the nerve to say things like "I didn't really read it before I voted"...like that's better...That's frightening, they would vote to start a war when they didn't bother to read the facts? They wrote most of the facts so even that part is a lie. Why are they not responsible for what they do? That makes Bush a scapegoat, not a villain.

Liberalism is only an ideology that is an easy target. I just want the representatives whom we elected to fix this problem. And these representatives includes people from Democrats, Republicans, and Independent. I think we can forget about Lieberman though.

Consider the sources for the claims against the Democrats.

Most of it is out of spite because their reactionary candidates have lost so massively and miserably.

The republicans have hit rock bottom. With or without a draft, there will never be enough fresh bodies to throw into a losing civil war in Iraq.

And those who are coming back wounded become another lost generation of broken humanity pounding the streets with their cardboard signs begging for handouts when the government fails to support them properly.

Blame Bush. It's his war to lose.

It's a Republican ploy to divert the attention away from what they created. Politics as usual, when things go bad they blame it on someone else. If it was going good they would take credit for it.

As a neocon, I tend to disagree with anyone who does not agree with me. And of course I like to blame them for everything. It helps me sleep at night. My heroes are the soldier and the fighter. So I always carry my stick with me because this is the only way I could survive the wolfish battle.
Hegemonism is my response to everything.

Now, who is trying to cut off funding for the troops in Iraq? It sure isn't the Republicans! The mistake is we don't have enough troops in there in the first place to stop what is happening there now. You can blame the hole damn government for it! I know, I have been there, have you?

It is not. It is just a way to point blame away ffrom the true people responsible.

FYI though the liberals in governement do the very same thing when they screw up...it is not a right/left thing...it is just a law of government "When thou funkest upist..blamith the other guy"

I don't get it, if we're "wining" in Iraq wouldn't blaming the Democrats be a compliment?
