i have an apple macbook and recently it will turn itself off after a couple of minutes of me switching it on, it is not because the battery is low and i have also tried it with it plugged into the mains, i dont know whether it has anything to do with it but i can sumtimes hear the fan thing inside it wen it happens, i will keep switching itself off for a while but then i will be back to normal
help anyone??

it lets you control how fast your fans run. Once you intall it, run your fans around 4000 or 3000 and see how your computer reacts and see if it switches off.
If this doesnt work, i would take it to my local apple store and ask whats wrong with it at the genius bar.

it would want to nicely be over heating... Do you listen the fan? Does it sense fairly warm in a unmarried spot even as it shuts down? What about the battery? Are you plugged into the wall even as it crashes? try using a pals ability provide and seeing if it nevertheless crashes. in case you MacBook does no longer crash with a pals ability provide, then enable it totally value. in case you do not crash on basically the battery then the flexibility provide is the area...

Well if you hear the fan it may be that the fan is going out, most modern systems have thermal protection enabled in the bios. If the system get too hot it will shut down, check the bios for system health and see what the temps are.

"Standby" and "Hibernate" power modes are used on Macbooks to conserve battery power, etc.

Read The Friendly Manual (RTFM) for your laptop.

Then, call Apple tech support, if you're still stuck.
