most people would never vote for someone who truly tells it like it is. they prefer the comforting lies. think about it, they politicians wouldn't tell lies unless it gives them an advantage over telling the truth. they don't exist solely to lie to us, they exist solely to get them selves elected, and say anything they think will help them achieve this.

Because "we" VOTE the liars into office! It's a 'democratic' right.
First of all, remember that we're not a democracy; we're a democratic republic wherein 'the people' are ruled by those whom they elect. A true democracy is ruled by the people.
Secondly, "we the people" have failed at our responsibility to actively participate in the democratic process of voting for and electing our representatives. Such apathy has allowed a monopolistic, corrupt two-party system to take over politics to an extent that 'we the people' have little 'say' anymore as to who gets elected.
The Bilderberg Conference, made up of wealthy elitists, politically powerful, and internationally influential, now pretty much decides who will 'win' the 'elections' years in advance. Like lobsters languishing in a pot of lukewarm water, we will only start screaming in agony over our own apathy once the water starts to boil. Meanwhile, most of us just sit around and ***** about the "liars" in office, while often not taking time to get involved in the political process or even bothering to vote. -RKO- 06/14/07

What The Republicans will say: Sometimes we need to do it for the common good, but generally we are truthfull and we RARELY need to lie.
What the Democrats say: Bush is a liar. The republicans have lied to america. in 06 they voted for change and we'll give it to them!
What I say: Americans have gotten stupid.

Because we have been brainwashed by the media into believing that the people that run for office from the two major parties are the only ones that can get the job done.

everyone is a liar.
if you look into your own life you will see that you have probably lied.
try looking deeper into the democratic process. run for office yourself.
get involved with a candidate you do like.
ie build a glass house rather than spend time throwing stones
