Does anyone know if its easy to get into the exclusion zone around chernobyl without going through checkpoints?
I like the idea of sneaking in

dude, why sneaking in, pay $40, they deliver you there, no pains to figure out how to get there alone, give you time to walk around, show u various spots and tell u stuff about it. whats the point in sneaking in? u wont be able to walk to the "heart" of it, though u could just enter ukraine or belarus adn the closer u r to chernobyl the more u r in the exclusion zone/

a second containment building was planned and may have already begun to be constructed. it may provide greater protection to a point(its round shape may help it endure a little bit more) however if a tornado did hit there it would certainly need maintenance/reconstruction. because its been done before we have a better idea of what needs to be done and the precautions that must be taken to ensure less loss of human life maybe the exclusion zone may need to be expanded or more radioactive waste need be relocated inward the zone to "shrink" its boarders earthquakes do happen in continental Europe and even its surrounding islands radioactive pollution would be dispersed all over and it would be a highly expensive clean up
