Apple snail, Pila globosa, has both gills(ctenidia) and a pulmonary sac, called lung. It is amphibious.

From what I've read, it does appear to be true.
There are two types of snails. Gilled snails and Pulmonate snails
the Gilled Snails have gills (sounds obvious huh) and can close their bodies into their shells with a plate, or door.
Pulmonate snails have lungs. Most of these come to the surface to breathe, but some breathe through their body surface whilst actually under the water. They cannot close their bodies into their shells.
