OK, the faint at heart, turn away :)

I have to ask this question, my husband and I are TTC - I just sent out another post, but he came in me June 5, 6, 11, 12 and 13.

That is a lot of little guys. My lower abdomen feels kind of "full" or bloated. Now - I think I'm getting sick so that could be all it is, but do you think it's possible that there's just so "much" up there that it is actually making me feel bloated?

Sorry if it's gross, I just figured someone here might have had a similar experience :) Thanks!

When a man ejaculates inside a woman the vast majority of his sperm are dead within minutes if she is not close to ovulation. When a woman is not near ovulation her cervical mucus is hostile to sperm--it kills them. When a woman is near ovulation and has eggwhite like cervical mucus that is friendly to the sperm then only a very few thousand make it through the cervix. The rest of the semen and dead sperm is washed away out of the vagina. So, eventhough he ejaculated in you on several occassions all of the semen and most of the sperm has been washed out of your vagina. The vagina is a self-cleaning body part--even if you don't notice, the semen comes back of you. So, no there isn't too much sperm in there causing you to feel bloated.

OMG, we must be on the same cycle because that is pretty darn close to when we did it. Mine was June 4, 6, 8, 9, 11 and 12th...I felt bloated and gross starting the 9th and it's just now subsiding. I don't know that there could be that much in you...I am holding out that it's a sign of pregnancy. My boobs are still really sore, I think it may have been a side effect to ovulation though. I guess I will have to wait one more week to find out. Maybe you are pregnant...I hope we both get positives!!

Changing hormone levels

In the luteal phase [14 days before period], the ruptured follicle closes after releasing the egg and forms a structure called a corpus luteum, which produces increasing quantities of progesterone. The function of the corpus luteum is to prepare the uterus in case fertilization occurs. The progesterone produced by the corpus luteum causes the endometrium [lining of the uterus] to thicken, filling with fluids and nutrients in preparation for a potential fetus.

In the second part of the luteal phase, the estrogen level increases, also stimulating the endometrium to thicken. In response to the increase in estrogen and progesterone levels, the milk ducts in the breasts increase. As a result, the breasts may swell and become tender.

If the egg is not fertilized, the corpus luteum degenerates after 14 days, and a new menstrual cycle begins.

If the egg is fertilized, the cells around the developing embryo begin to produce a hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). This hormone maintains the corpus luteum, which continues to produce progesterone, until the growing fetus can produce its own hormones. Pregnancy tests are based on detecting an increase in the human chorionic gonadotropin level.

This hormone also triggers changes in muscle tone. Most pregnant women report having to go to the bathroom more often, even before missing a period.

Good luck

The only "little guys" that would still be alive would the the 12th and 13th. And I'm not even sure the 12th. Sperm does not live long inside the woman. If you're full and bloated, you may just be trying to start. If you're trying to conceive, sex every other or third day is better. The man produces more that way, than going every day.

What goes in, must come out! It's all a cycle of moving through the body. Having intercourse, even if it were everyday, would not cause you to feel bloated! Might be that you are eating a lot of salt? Could be close to getting AF? If you've ever had a test to check for blockages of your tubes, you'd see that what they shoot in comes out (that's what I'm taking my info from).

Not a gross question at all. Men should perform testicular exams every month just as a woman should do a monthly breast exam. It is not uncommon to have one testicle larger than the other, but a lump is a concern and you should consult your physician. It can simply be a swollen gland but best to rule out cancer or hernia concerns for your own peace of mind.......then keep up regular monthly exams.
