My father-in-law will eat an onion just like an apple. The first time I saw him do that, I was so grossed out by it. I do love onions, but not like that! Now my daughter likes onions and will eat them raw and with nothing else. Yuck!

To C.M. - my daughter didn't get it from him. She's never seen him do that before.... he lives in a different state. We do visit, but he's never ate a raw onion in front of her before. I don't have any idea where she got it from. Maybe it's genetic..... lol

I love eating raw onions!! I have loved them since I was a kid!! I can eat the whole onion raw like an apple, even red onions, which are the strongest! Although, my personal favorite are the Maui Onions!!! YUM YUM!!

hey I'm kinda like you i love onions but not that much onions are good but i don't think they were made to eat like apples besides if you eat an onion it will make your breath stink but the thing with your daughter, offer her something that goes well with onions or at least COOK them but again i don't think you should eat onions raw

I love eating raw onions, the sweet ones, and the green ones. But I don't eat them like an apple! My tongue couldn't stand that!

Oh, that is so disgusting! I've known people that have done that and it turned my stomach. I love onions, but I don't eat them like an apple! That's sort of like eating raw garlic! Are you going to try to break your daughter of the habit of eating raw onions? Maybe she's doing it to please him?

I jsut cant seem to eat onions period, as a child I would hide them in anything jsut so that my mom would not make me eat them YUCK.

Mann they're sooooo good. I can eat one like an apple too! gotta peel it and sit down with some salt! Its best tho if you have a garden and can just sit and pick em to eat. only bad thing: tha breath is a lil bad afterward

On sandwiches and in things I will eat them! I totally love them, but not like an apple that is going too far for me!

Ewww, I don't even like them cooked. I love the way they smell when cooking - peppers & onions smell great, but I won't eat them.
