I was a small child during the McCarthy era but got a good lesson about it in high school. Our US History teacher set us up and he played the part of McCarthy. It was scary.
I don't believe ALL Republicans criticize higher learning, the media and the government as being a liberal plot. That is only done by the hate mongers you mentioned and those who believe them. A neocons who also believe that clap trap could be included.
The more those hate mongers rant the more rediculous they look and that can but only help those they rail against.

Higher learning is not exactly criticized it is the educators that are criticized. Isn't journalism a "liberal" art? Enough said.
Big government does no good.
Liberalism is synonymous with rot. When you preserve things it is called conserving hence conservative.
Recent disclosures have proven that McCarthy was right. But hey when has a liberal ever let little things like facts get in the way.

Republicans do no longer choose bigger getting to grasp they be attentive to each thing already. they have have had administration of the whitehouse or congress or the two for 20 of the final 28 years and notice how great our united states of america is now. Undereducated, enormously plenty broke, unlawful immigrants everywhere, military just about broken, infrastructure decaying, ect... So do no longer attempt to teach them no longer something.

I remember the McCarthy era. Now we are entering the Sharpton era.
Instead of Communism, it's racism.
Instead of the Hollywood 5, it's the Duke Lacrosse 3.
Blacklisting hasn't stopped, it has just gotten a new spokesperson. And guess what? He is NOT a Republican.
--And yes, I went to college, and found my Liberal Arts professors to be strongly left-leaning. My Engineering teachers, not so much. Maybe because they were smarter?

I would say higher education is extremely left leaning. Most of those professors have never really lived in the real world and only know college life. It also seems that much of the media has a slight liberal bend but there are come conservative outlets out there. The government depends on who is in power.

No.
The media and our university are just run mostly by liberals. I do not think there was some kind of liberal plot to get control of those things. It just worked out that way.

Can you actually cite quotes or facts to support any of your outlandish and boorish accusations? Or are you stuck in the infantile world of leftism where facts and reality are shunned and all logic is of the pretzel variety?
As for McCarthy, the most recent thing I've seen reminiscent of that is the treatment the Democrats gave Joe Lieberman, and the very scary true-believers of the Al Gore global warming scaremongering.

Get off your high horse. I have my masters degree and am very aware of liberal professors who spout their propoganda. My children heard liberal crap in middle and high school too. Most media is biased and a liberal probably wouldn't recognize it as such since they totally agree with the slant.

Just have to visit a college campus, read a newspaper, or listen to Reid/Pelosi for 5 minutes and you can make your mind up for yourself.....

Actually if you would open your ears and eyes, you would find that the vast majority don't believe that. You are just as guilty as the people you are stereotyping.
