No, they aren't trained in that.

NO ! They are responsible for the instruments,equipment,and set up of the OR and passing instruments.They are not "medically " trained,only a MD can close a surgical incision.RNs can remove staples and sutures.Some Nurse Practitioner's can suture & staple wounds in the ER etc. Take care. SW RNP
