I talk to an ex bf of mine and he's not married but I am. Thats not what I want to talk about I also have a friend who is married and his ex is married, but her marriage is good and his not so great. No love or compassion is given towards him & he gives it. But my question is his ex has not been talking to him as much this week and I need to know how to let him know that it will pass and they will be talking on a regular basis again? If you have anything bad to say, well go ahead, he might not need a safe answer.

You have no guarantee that they will talk on a regular basis again. His ex may of decided to keep him in the past where he belongs.

I don't know what you're asking but what you're describing is an emotional affair.

He should not be worried about not talking to an ex for any period of time. He is investing too much of his heart and thoughts on someone other than his mate. If he took that energy and channeled it into his marriage, he wouldn't have to talk to another woman to get his needs met.

The grass isn't greener over there....it is all the same grass....take care of your own damn grass!!! (smile)

Seriously, look up "emotional affairs" and send an article to him.

Whatever...secretly talking with your X is between you and your spouse...that goes for everyone.
It just depends on the trust or lack there of as to whether you have to keep it a secret or not.
She may not ever talk to him...how does her husband feel about her talking to him? If he doesn't like it and her "marriage" is good, then most likely she'll compromise with her husband and not talk to the X anymore.

No, I spoke to my ex husband about our divorce only, but once the divorce was over then I had nothing left to say to him.
