I've been accepted to go to England for a camp, however they will not buy the tickets for me unless I give them proof that I have a valid passport. Unfortunately, the passport I have expires midway through the camp dates, so I need to renew. Also I am UNDER 18, and the last time I got a passport I was under 16 so that means I HAVE TO GO IN PERSON.

There has got to be an easier way. This trip is next month, so I don't have enough time to do it just anywhere and it is not close enough to the trip to get the expedite for those traveling in under 14 day. Besides the people that are sponsoring this trip are NOT going to buy the tickets until I have a passport so I can't even use plane tickets as proof of travel.

How is this supposed to work. The lines for the place to get the passport are ridiculous. They were all down the block unless you were able to get an appointment (which I can't do since my dates of travel don't make the 14 day or less limit.)

How is a minor supposed to get one?

And are the lines that bad in other places or does Miami just suck?

Remember, I have to do this fast, I'm a minor, and the trip is not within 14 days. So far it looks like I'm screwed unless I lie and say I'm traveling sooner so I can get ahead in the lines/get an appointment.

fight the line. Its your only chance. Take all documentation with you and a note frome those who would not sell you tickets without the passport. make sure that you can prove and document your coming trip. They generally will help expidite these things. Especially because its just a renewal. Funny, If you were out of the country you could hit an embassy and have it renewed in less than a week and sometimes in one day!

the only way is to bypass on your interior of reach post workplace and fill out an application. the only different price different than the passport value could be your passport photograph which various places do for around $7-$8. when you consider which you do no longer choose it to november you will have particularly some time.

Go back to the place where you were supposed to originally get your passport and wait! That's most likely your only option. Explain your situation to whomever you are speaking with and they could probably hook you up... if you know what I mean. eh? Just remember to be friendly; it will help alot. Don't get frustrated with the people... I know they could possibly be annoying, but just think nothing of it... be calm.

Good luck!

You probably won't get it in time even if you rush it. Mine took three weeks over the limit that they set. And you must go in person...that is the only way.
