As it is your family history, yes these things can be passed on to your child, just as they were passed on to you. You might just want to talk to your doctor at your regular exam or when you get closer to starting your family about the chances and risks of the conditions you've described. Here is something interesting I found about sickle cell-- "Did you read the articles about the parents with sickle cell trait who had babies who did not have sickle cell trait or sickle cell anemia? This is the result of a method of in vitro fertilization and preimplantation genetic diagnosis, used by investigators that guaranteed their babies would not have Sickle Cell Anemia."

As u have sickle cell trait, u have to find a partner who should have neither the trait nor the disease. As both having trait magive disease (Manifestation) to the offspring. You have to find a partner who doesn't have family history for all other diseases in your family. Anyway, genes wander in a family and distant relatives are also important. On top there are mutations. So I suggest, think of avoiding major diseases only. Otherwise it may become impossible to find a suitable match! Good luck!

A genogram shows the names of family members, how
they are related, their dates of birth, their health problems, and the dates and causes of their deaths.
Making a genogram allows you to see patterns in your
family’s health history. It’s a tool you and your doctor
can use to judge your risks for some of the more than
3,000 ailments believed to run in families — including
heart disease, cancer, diabetes, Alzheimer’s
disease, thyroid disease, certain birth defects, alcoholism,
depression, and schizophrenia. Illnesses
that have occurred in family members before the age
of 55 may particularly interest you and your doctor
— because you may want to take extra steps to
avoid them. If you know your risks, you can often
decrease them by changing your health habits or by
spotting an ailment early so it can be treated.
If you have children, print another for the other
parent; then combine that chart with yours to make
a single two-parent chart for your children. If your
family is large, you will need to extend the chart. Go
to the next page to see the printable chart.

Any Child you may have will stand a 50% chance of developing or not developing any genetic disability, and or disease you and your spouse may have. They will stand a 25% chance of developing anything that your parents (both you and your Spouse's) have.

But there is always hope that they may never develope anything at all!
