OMG!!!! I just had to do that last Thursday & I took my daughter's dog in to have it done in 2004. She couldn't do it, but knew it was for the best. It hurts something terrible!!! I was hoping my girl (Desire) would go in her sleep so I wouldn't have to do it, but she tried her best to put up a good fight. My heart goes out to you & anyone that has to make that decision. Of course we do so out of love for our pets & it is the last act of love, kindness & responsibility to them!!!

Yes I have had to go through this more than once. I'm afraid.
It's like having your heart ripped out and stomped on. Never get easier to do and each time it's the same. Tears make you feel better for a moment, frustration, and such a deep sence of loss.
The only thing left is memories and the knowledge that it was the right thing to do. No matter how much we didn't want to do it.
I still go and talk to my Cori and I still cry and that was 5 years ago. How can I not.

Yes, it is an extremely sad time. I keep a beautiful picture of her (my dog) on my mantel.
