I feel way better in the morning if I sleep good, but that doesn't happen very often. Normally, I try to sleep but kept awake by all kinds of thoughts running through my head. So, I suppose I'm a night owl.

I agree with you. I used to be a night owl, but work forces me to be up at 5:30am!! So now, I'm a morning person.

I used to be a night owl, and for many years enjoyed swing shift where I come into work in afternoon, to learn people needs, the work on implementing their software needs. I was also on trouble call ... any problem, they call me at home, via e-mail or whatever. I can telecommute to work from home, so fix some problem pretty fast without having to commute to the office.

However, increasingly my boss needs me around for his convenience, to be in meedings in the morning, also as I brow older I find I cannot do 6-8 hours sleep then 10-16 hours work ... I have to take several naps ... alternating less hours work, some kind of rest break, then several more hours work in a 24 hour period.

So now, I sleep late, do a few hours telecommuting in morning, have 1-2 hour nap, get into the office mid-day, work 6-8 hours, get a break, perhap 2-3 hour nap, end up at home for a few more hours of telecommuting, then get 4-6 hours sleep..

I'm a late morning person ... can't function till the coffee lubes the system ... then I'm super happy.

I do have late owl in me, and if kept awake past 11:30, well, my alertnate psychy will kick in and I'll be up till 4:00 am ... which I guess brings me back to being morning person.
