I would definetely want to know. Hands down.
You can not build happiness over lies, the weak foundation would sooner or later let the entire production, every little thing you had built with your innocence and belief, crumble down.
Lies are like venom that seeps through beings from inside out and starts spreading on other venues, killing every life form they encounter on their way, like plague, like poison.
It is only a matter of time before the bottled up lies cause the relationship to implode.
However, if he comes clean, first of all I would be grateful for his honesty and respect him for it, second, painful as it may be, it would still show me that he has realized what a destructive thing he has done by betraying me and my trust, and that he is regretting it and wishing for another chance to make it right. If a person admits and acknowledges the fact that he has done a terrible thing, there is a notable amount of possibility that he will have learned from his mistakes. Also owning up to his actions shows character, and the likely possibility that he will be practicing honesty from now on.
One more thing, coming clean about something like that to me would mean that we have a stronger connection than the physical side of the relationship, it would show me that we have spiritual connection and by telling the truth he is letting me inside of him, and crazy as it may sound it would bring me closer to him.
The thing that there is no turning back from is, catching him lying, or finding out later, or worse, never completely finding out but having your womanly 6th sense telling you there is something wrong, and he is not telling, and slowly you start to drift apart, you start to resent him, and you start noticing guys with whom you believe you might find the connection that is missing with your guy.
The most important thing for me in a relationship is being able to be best friends. Lies are like cancer, an ugly disease, you can't wash them off without coming clean. That's why the catholic church insists that you confess in order for your sins to be forgiven.
The truth shall set you free.

I walked in on my boy of 3 years a couple months ago.... at first I wished that I had never known because then I wouldn't have all the pain- but now I would want to know without a doubt..... The pain is only going to make you stronger after you realize that you CAN get through it and you won't have to be with someone who doesn't know how valuable you are....

If you didn't know how would you have the choice of letting him keep it a secret?
I would want to know...the why is because if he cheated on me that would mean that he did not truly love me and I am wasting my time in the relationship. Also, I would want to see my doc real quick to make sure he did not bring home any diseases to me. And finally...I would want to know so I could let him go.

An ex-gf of mine cheated on me twice. >.< I gave her thats econd chance because I loved her and i thought that she deserved anotehr chance.
I think that its capable that people make mistakes. Like.. I think that if someone cheats, there is a possibility that its only for sex, not because they necessarily want the person they cheated with. But either way, it is a wrong thing, and people should tell.

If my man ever cheated on me, he better tell me. If he were to keep it from me and then I find out he did, I would just go crazy. That would show me just exactly what kind of person he is if he keeps it from me, and I refuse to have a man in my life that does that.

I'd wait to catch him in the act, then get rid of then...anyone with a supposition mind ends up being true, or they just don't trust them...

I would want to know, but it doesn't necessarily mean I would end the relationship (depending on the circumstances).
