Yes, I was only 6 or 7 at the time, and I was in the final two, and couldn't spell the word rebel. I live in the South, so go figure. Anyway, I don't know if I had ever seen it written down before, and the only way I could think to spell it was like pebble, rebble. Oh well.......

I won the local county bee but lost the regional bee on the word "cantaloupe".

Yes, I was so nervous. I was only 6 but I misspelled
the word San Francisco, the name of my city.

I used to win them back in fourth grade.
But unfortunately, it did not lead to a successful career in spelling well.

Three years in a row. 6th, 7th and 8th grade. Went to district for 6th and 8th grade.
