Can you ever say "musics"? I know that generally speaking abstract nouns are singular, but there are some exceptions (for example foods or truths). Is music an exception?

Abstract nouns can be countable (as some people here have mentioned). Take "idea", for example (as in "I have a few ideas.") Not to mention, both "sound" and "thought" are also examples of countable abstract nouns.

Nope. 'Music' is a non-countable noun. There are some nouns that act as both countable and non-countable but 'music' isn't one of them.

Some abstract nouns can be pluralized through the use of "s," The rule of thumb is to consider whether or not it is a countable noun or uncountable noun. Countable nouns are easy to determine with concrete nouns, like "cats, dogs, fishes," and more difficult to determine with abstracts like "truths, foods, and monies." "Music" is uncountable, and therefore would not be pluralized.

An uncoutable noun has no plural and music is that.

Abstract nouns can be either countable or uncountable.

"idea" is a countable abstract noun.

No. Music, and indeed all abstract nouns, are singular (non-countable).

Music is referring to a sound or a thought, it's something you can't physically touch so stays singular. ANoter example is the word happy, or sad...
