I'd reccomend these 2, run each in turn
ADAWARE fro www.lavasoftusa.com (Free personal version)
also SPYBOT S&D from www.spybot.org (Again free for home use)

Also worth having in toolbox is CCLEANER from www.ccleaner.com again a free download, and a good general windows tidyup utility.

You havent described the issues you are having in enough detail to make any sort of guess as to what the cause may be. For example, did the PC stop working or did you have trouble with the Internet connection. Assuming the issue was with your Internet connection we would need to know more about what happened. Hughes is a satellite based service and in my experience is not very fast (compared to other high speed services) or reliable. I am not familiar with veoh.com. However, it may be possible that their web server was inundated with hits or perhaps they were performing maintenance. Have you scanned your PC for spyware? Anti-virus scanning does not do a good job of detecting spyware. Try Ad-Aware from http://www.lavasoft.com

If you can post, in more detail, what has occured we may be able to give you a better answer
