First off how come when someone is proud to be Asain or German no one bats and eye but when we are proud to be Americans, we are arrogant. That's just wrong.
The sort and simple is we are arrogant, I for one am proud of our arrogance. We were a country that started with the basic freedoms that no other country had at the time. We have not only survived but have surpassed every other country in the world in technology and military.

I think we seem arrogant to foreigners because we are wrapped up in our own life here in America. And why shouldn't we be? It makes sense to think about whats going on in European countries if you live in Europe, but if you live 4,000 miles away here in the US your primary interest would be whats going on here. They think we are provincial for not speaking foreign languages. But why should we? Virtually everyone speaks English here, plus its the world standard, and it is a very efficient and expressive language. However, when America gets into saying that every other country should live as we do, that is definitely being arrogant. Not every country can or should live as we do. If they want to live under royalty or communism or feudalism its their country, its their business, leave them to their own choices.

your confusing the people and the country. "foreigners" want the opportunity that is available in America. you know the opportunity and "American dream" we are always going on and on about. and we are arrogant. If you went to work everyday and there was a guy or girl there who everyday was like "i am the best f ing thing since buttered bread!" you'd probable say they were arrogant and you'd probably want to kick them in the teeth. Our immigration problem is partially our fault. I'm mean when you advertise how great you are people are gonna believe it and want to come here. The only people in this country that have a right to complain about immigrants or "foreigners" are American Indians

All the conquests and wars of territory since World War II have been between middle eastern nations.

Being arrogant and being wealthy are two separate things. Foreigners want to share in the wealth we have; that we happen to also be arrogant, while unfortunate, doesn't detract from that.
