This is a great film. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's really according to how old your children are and how mature they are before you let them watch it. It has some horrific scenes that are not appropriate for some, and it is rated R. I did let my 15 year old niece watch it and she loved it. I let my 10 and 11 year old granddaughters watch it, and they loved it, but it scared them a bit. It scared me a little also. There were some scenes that I couldn't watch all the way through the first time because of the violence, but I made myself watch those scenes the next time around. Enjoy, it's wonderful!

It's an awesome movie, but I'd watch the movie first to make sure that it's safe for your children.

It is subtitled, so that may keep it from being viewed by children straight off. There is a lot of violence & adult situations in the movie, which you may not want your kids to see. All kids are different, & different parents allow different things, so it's really your call.

Below is the wiki link with a synopsis if you'd like to peruse the plotline.

Personally I loved the movie. It is all in Spanish and you have to read the subtitles at the bottom though. Its not a movie for children at all there is tons of blood and really bad violence. Its almost disturbing how real some of the violent scenes seem but there is no Sexual Content or anything in it.

It's a great film but too scary for little children. It's got a lot of violence in it because of the war aspect - plus it is in Spanish and they may not want to read the subtitles. I would suggest that you watch, you'll love it, but I don't think you'd want young children to watch it.

I would say that is definitely NOT a children's movie. I just saw it for the first time 2 days ago... it's rated R for strong violence. AND it's a Spanish movie and all in subtitles, so yo uhave to read all of the dialogue.
It's a good movie, but a very ADULT fantasy movie.
Hope this helps!

I wouldn't show it to a child under 15. It's not a nice little fairy tale. Some of it is pretty gory and it's depiction of life under Franco's rule is quite shocking.

It is an amazing film, I would definitely recommend it, but certainly not for children.

its a good film but not very good for children because it was basically spoke in Spanish with English subtitles so there is a lot of reading

Definitely not for children - parts of it even scared me a little (there are some gruesome bits and some creepy monsters). It's quite a dark fairytale and after I watched it (at the cinema), I came out feeling pretty depressed! lol. But for its genre, I would say it's a pretty good movie.

Its a great film, not for very young children though.

It is a great film! (my opinion). Imaginative and surreal, but NOT for little kids! Violent and graphically gruesome in parts - and the gruesome bits were actually in the "reality" part of the film!

enjoy.
