Can I develop psychic ability?

What would this world be like if there really psychic ability?

It has been argued that if psychic power existed, to use it would be "a gross and unethical violation of privacy" and "professions that involve deception would be worthless" There wouldn't be any need for undercover work or spies. Every child molester would be identified immediately. No double agent could ever get away with it. Psychics would be in demand for high paying jobs in banks, businesses and government. Most psychics would be very, very rich.... and since psychics are such altruistic persons, giving up their time to help others talk to the deceased or figure out what to do with their lives, they would be winning lotteries right and left and giving part of their winnings to help the needy. We wouldn't need trials of accused persons: psychics could tell us who is guilty and who is not. The polygraph would be a thing of the past. Of course, the operative word here is if. If psychic power existed the world would be very different.

No one has ever shown, under proper observing conditions, evidence of any paranormal, supernatural, or occult power or event.

Alot of people can come into Psychic ability after having a major life changing event. A major illness, a good knock on the head.
Some are just born that way.
Others take the hard road and begin working with Tarot cards or focusing on meditation to help open up the psychic side. For me it was practicing with the tarot, and then working with Beta and theta states. So yes its possible.

Yep, you can. Everyone is born with some sort of psychic gift and anyone can develop it within their own selves. You can start by reading books about developing your gifts and see which one(s) you can relate to (there are many different abilities); once you figure out which ones you may have, then you would study more to develop that. For example, I am a clairvoyant/medium, so I develop my ability to speak with spirit...my husband is a healer, so he has learned to best channel energies to help heal the body.

I think it is something you are born with! I know I can just feel what is about to happen before it actually does but I have always been that way! It is funny how I will just pick up the phone before it rings or how I can feel if something bad has happened. I had some crazy dream before 9/11 happened and it was very disturbing in a way. My family is all this way we just have some weird connection. My aunt does medium work for the police in Va! It is like a 6th sense for us! I have never really looked in to it to much but it comes naturally to me!

Its theorised by some that everybody has some sort of inherent psychic ability, but in the vast majority is beyond our use and understanding. In theory you would probably have to be born with the understanding in order to use it, but it does sometimes manifest itself, e.g when you know what somebody is going to say or who will be on the telephone when it rings (precognition) and thinking the same thing as somebody else (telepathy.)

It would take rigourous training and discipline in order to try and harness and control these abilities, but presumably such a thing would be possible to achieve.

Everyone has the ability, some have a more pronounced ability and others develop it after something happens to them and then there are those who work to develop what they naturally have.
