I know someone and she says she would be a vampyre but I'd rather be a werewolf. Surely werewolves are more cool?

My type of werewolf would be Howling / Underworld type where the change was my choice at any time I wanted, also giving me immortality. Werewolves are sexy too

I would like to be vampire because you would live for ever. But a werewolve you could eat whatever you wanted and tons of it. Werewolves would be great dinner party guest. I love to cook. The only thing about werewolves is the changing, don't want to be a big wolf.

No really. Stop and think about it for a second. Pretend that your decision actually changed you into it.
Some practical aspects: vampires are nocturnal. Which means that their whole schedule is thrown off because they are totally out of sync with those of us who sleep at night, and therefore have a hard time doing things like going out for dinner, getting groceries, or doing just about anything that requires someone else to be awake. No good. Werewolves, on the other hand, can live like normal humans because they can walk around in the sun, don't need blood to survive, and only have to deal with nocturnal problems once a month.
It's true that everyone seems to think that vampires are sexy, but they are also cold and mean. Not the kind of person you would want to have any relationship with. On the other hand, wolves are monogamous, mater for life (unless the partner dies), and are devoted family animals. They love pups, too. So why shouldn't that be true of werewolves? So werewolves win there.
One last thing: vampires are necessarily evil... werewolves don't have to be. A smart werewolf would take a few precautions and avoid killing anyone, but a vampire HAS to drink blood, no way around it.

You've watched too many movies. A werewolf is simply someone capable of transformation into a wolf--which is not an exceptionally powerful creature. In contrast, a vampire is a more supernatural, therefore more powerful being. The vampire can appear as wolf, bat, or mist. Further, they've an inhumanly strong grip and are unfazed by most forms of attack. Midway between a ghost and a demon, the vampyre seems far superior to the werewolf.

Vampire for certain. Picture this, im Vampire Zena, I live in Vamp Valley on the island Kroaniekah, an island deep in the north atlantic. and its cool. We aren't much of the myth, but more a reality. We are a geneticly mutated, by the interbreeding that took place in the 15th century by all the royalty that weren't prepaired to spread the blue blood. my ancestors fled after all the inhumane rumours flood the streets of this race of blood suckers. Well, they did, but because they had a red blood cell deficiency, they needed blood. and they had a skin disease that if they went into the sun, their skin would form scabs and bleed. And the whole thing about immortality... Well don't live forever, just much longer than the normal person, because of our red blood cell generating cerum, we inject ourselves with 3 time a day!

I would rather be a vampire. I love the whole idea of drinking someones blood. I even went to school and got certified in phlebotomy so that I could work with blood. warewolves are cool too!

i'd rather be a vampire...werewolves are so scary...i can't imagine being chased by something like that. vampires have charisma and character, charm and are generally hot. werewolves are disgusting beasts that roam all night ... hairy, smelly, dripping drool, chasing B-movie type women...(my God, i just realized my ex is a werewolf!!).

I would want to be a vampire. While werewolfs are sexi, Vampires seem to have more "grace" to them. Plus all that hair, eh not for me.

I would rather be a Vampire, especially if the chicks looked like Seleena from Underworld. That's one Vampire that could bite me anywhere, anytime and anyplace! Just as long as she bit me.
