I've read that smart people or people with very high IQ's don't talk as much, because they don't understand how it is people can't understand the things that come so easy to them. They don't know how to communicate because they seem like a whole different person. Picture your self in a room with a bunch of mentally challanged people, you probably wouldn't have much to say.

Smart people only talk about things they know about.
Dumb people talk about anything at all, because they are too dumb to realise that what they think they know about it is either worthless or wrong.
There is a famous quote, "Better to keep quiet and be thought a fool, than to open one's mouth and prove it beyond doubt." Smart people go along with that.

A lot of times smart people are shy. Most of the smart people I know tend to be shyer than those not so thought-gifted.

I agree with wheezy. Just look at how some of the questions on Yahoo are phrased (not this one). People will ask certain questions and then qualify it by saying don't give me facts or science. Therefore, they usually get idiotic answers reinforcing their idiotic beliefs. It baffles any intelligent person's mind,

seriously though, smart people tend to admit sooner when they do not know something. while less smart people tend to blabber nonsense. on top of that smart remarks are usually not apreciated so they learned to keep them inside.
