Ron Artest is more of a contain defender and he also winds up with steals too,while Iverson gets steals coz he is quick but cant play contain defense,steals are just a result of careless ball handling or bad passes and is therefore not completely good defence.playing good defense requires strength,stamina,speed and anticipaton.

For steals yeah they are ok. But Bruce Bowen is probably the best perimeter defender out there, just look at what he is doing to Lebron in the finals. He doesn't get the steals but makes you take the bad shot and miss creating easy rebounds for his team.

How many times does this have to be said: STEALS DONT MEAN YOU PLAY GOOD DEFENSE, IT MEANS YOU PLAY AGGRESSIVE AND PLAY PASSING LANES WHICH OFTEN LEADS TO BAD TEAM DEFENSE BECAUSE YOU GET OUT OF POSITION IF YOUR GAMBLING DOESNT PAY OFF!!! No, with that said i would have to say bruce bowen is probably one of the better defenders in the league because he #1 has great foot speed and #2 he frustrates players to get them out of their game.

But also TJ Ford can play D too. Dont hate on him, hes small but his foot speed is unbelievable. Being a wizards fan that hasnt missed a game sine Gil has been on the squad, I must say TJ is probably the only player that has really bother Gil one-on-one.

Yeah they got very good defense but im going to have to say I love Bruce Bowen Foot Defense. He is a very good defender the spurs is smart every time Lebron start getting hot he put Bruce Bowen on Lebron

Yes, they are, but Iverson is getting older and Artest said he might retire after this season.
