It has either 3 or 4 neutron, it has 2 or 1 electron in an atom. So for an uncharged lithium atom, there should be 2 or 1 protons in an atom

There are 2 stable isotopes of Lithium Li-6 and Li-7.

Li-7 is the most abundant of the two at 92.5% It has 3 protons and 4 neutrons

Li-6 has 3 protons and 3 neutrons (7.5% abundance in nature).

Given that it's element 3 on the perioic table, it would have three of each. But there are three protons and four neutrons.
Isotopes would have more, of course.
