my favorite spooky story was written by Edgar Allen Poe. He wrote about the girl who wore a black scarf around her neck all her life. She would never tell her husband why she always wore it until she was about to die. She took it off and her head feel off. The scarf was there to hold her head in place. After i read it i couldnt sleep for a month. =)

one Saturday night, some years ago back home in Edinburgh, my cousin went out with some friends to a casino. on the card tables he was getting dealt three sixes, and they were coming up too often to be pure chance. on the dice too, sixes were making there appearance on too many occasions. at the end of the night they counted their total losses; £666. not a good night, but worse was yet to come. on the drive home my cousin looked over from the passenger seat at the dash board; 666 miles on the clock. at that point a car pulled out in front of them. they crashed into it. both cars were a right off. everyone was badly bruised and shaken, some cuts and fractures, but luckily no fatalities. coincidence or something else? who knows, but it is a true story.

I don't necessarily have a favorite but the spookiest thing I have ever read is the instructions on how to fill out the 1040 Income Tax form.

It's already been done. "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is my all time favorite Halloween story, and although it was re-written a bit, the movie with Johnny Depp and Christopher Walken was VERY well done / well cast!
