Hey, isn't it great to get surprises after 12 years! I do home health care, last year i took care of a man the had been in the service in his 20's (WWII) this man now was 80 some years old....No One in his family his wife, 3 kids Grand kids in their 20's even knew he was one of the founding soldiers that started the Air force as we know it today. He was in the Army Air corps.
When I pointed it out to them they had a better respect for him. And it helped open the lines of communication up with his kids again. They finally figured it out....men that served under hard men like Patton and MacGarther leaned to be hard hearted because of the huriffic things they seen in war time. Not just because they wanted to be mean. So several years of hurt and anger was washed away with just a couple of small details that had been left out.

Of all the years you know someone there are always new things to find out about them. Even if you knew them from birth to death there would be things you wouldn't know about them. I knew my ex-husband from 5 years old until I was 20. We were going out to a party and after a few drinks he began to dance. This was odd because he never danced in front of me so it was kind of interesting to find out he could dance just not sober!!! HA HA. We are still best friends of course even after the marriage though I am pretty sure he doesn't know I can replace watch batteries!!! HEH.

Wow! I think that's what makes a life partner so interesting! Never assume that you know all there is to know. You can always find something new to learn about your partner. It keeps life interesting.

Heck, I've been married 18 years and sometimes I still find out things he did when he was a kid and we weren't young when we got married so yeah, it's those little things tucked away in your memories that come out years and years later. That happens all the time.

I was with my partner for twelve years and about a year before we split His nephew came round on his BMX and asked my partner to show him some stunts cause his mum (My patners Sister) told him he was good, I nearly died he was amazing, later on he told me he was going to be a proffessional at the age of eleven but his dad wouldnt let him miss time off school to travel. It's good we learn constantly about our partners it keeps things alive.

Then I surprised her by dumpind her cause I had a fling wit my friend sister, and dat did'nt go well. Months went by, and my ex. surprised me by getting pregnant again wit some dudes baby, and she decided to keep dat baby. I did'nt expect dat cause, I thought it was going to be a long-term. Life hey!
