Your periods are like your body cleaning its self out the pill will only regulate them and make them a bit lighter the contraceptive jab would stop them altogether though

You cant permanently but you can stop them by using the pill. Some pills are safe to skip the sugar tablets and continue on with the next months allowing your body to go without a bleed or period.

People will tell you that this is not safe but i suggest you talk to a doctor who will tell you it is fine. I have been doing this since i was 13.

The reasons for having a period is that your body produces blood as a lining in the uterus in preparation for pregnancy. When you ovulate you release an egg that will implant in the lining of the uterus if you get pregnant. If you don't fall pregnant the egg comes out un noticed then followed by the lining (blood) which is what causes a period.

When you are on the pill you do not ovulate therfore you do not produce the blood that acts as a lining. When you go onto the sugar tablets you bleed because of the break in tablets not because you need to have a period.

Check with your doctor as there are certain pills that this is ok with and other that are no good.

The pill will also make your periods lighter. which is the reason I went on it at age 13.

Commercially packed tampons and pads do contain some chemicals which may cause itching. If the itching persists then it is always best to discuss this with your GP to check out the irritation problem, which could be related to thrush, which is a very common problem in women during or after period. Best to make sure that you wear cotton underpants and not nylon.

Menstration is a normal process in women. Sometimes it takes a while to get adjusted to having periods, but it is a perfectly natural process. If your periods are heavy or painful you may need to change your diet or take supplements. Are you getting enough iron for example? Best to look up a really good multivitamin from a health store such as Holland Barrett and take an added supplement of Vit. B6. Soak in warm baths with 6 drops of Lavender oil - this will help your muscles to relax and stop the cramps. Over-the-counter Feminax tablets are also good for helping to relax the muscles.

Eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables and get plenty of exercise. Perhaps during menstration cut down on acidic and spicy foods, wine and chocolate.

Why not book up an appointment to see your GP to discuss your concerns?

Hope this helps.

in case you're no longer depressed or apprehensive approximately something, then it extremely is superb to have a cry. that's healthful to particular emotion and not bottle it up. The previous adage approximately 'boys do no longer cry' is rubbish. adult males are allowed to be mushy too those days, so permit it out! Hormones play a great section at your age and there are various pressures and issues to set off your thoughts - so do no longer permit this get you down. even regardless of the undeniable fact that, if there is something on your existence that's inflicting you to fret, seek for some help. managing stuff by myself - whether you think of it extremely is minor and not worth bothering somebody with - is greater durable. Sharing concerns brings some perspective and could make you experience greater efficient.

I don't know the name of it but there is a pill you can take to stop them. be careful because you are young and still developing and you really need your hormones working right you don't want problems with infertility later in life. if you get on birth control pills they will make your periods lighter for now. I think all women wish they didn't have to deal with a period every month, but just wait when you get older you will appreciate it because now I look at it as MY WEEK OFF! I don't get bugged from my hubby! LOL!

Posting numerous questions isn't the answer.

Go and talk to your doctor, he can put you on the pill. It doesn't stop your periods but it will make them much lighter, and more regular.

The rest of us have learned to deal with it. Its just a fact of life.

Tampons are great once you get used to them, if inserted properly, you barely notice that they are there.

Your periods are there for a reason. All of us woman and teenagers alike have to go through this and it never ever stops unless you have had an Hysterectomy or something else. People who have severe anorexia periods stops because it is the body's way of telling them something is seriously wrong. Live with it and get used to it, remember you will probably meet someone one day and want to have baby's, no periods, no baby's. Take care and try to use products that have no perfumes on them.:))

You can't stop you periods. Billions of women are having a period now. It is something you get used to. We have no choice. Keep persevering with the tampons, believe me After a few months you won't even think about it.
