1 - Albert Pujols
2 - Ichiro
3 - Johan Santana
4 - Rafael Soriano (a steal for the Braves)
5 - Joe Nathan
6 - Eric Chavez
I'm not a Twins fan, but Joe Nathan is horribly undervalued. Take a look at his stats since 2003 - they're as good as any closer in the game.

1. Travis Hafner
2. Ichiro Suzuki
3. Johan Santana
4. Scot Shields (I presume you don't want closers included here)
5. Francisco Rodriguez
6. Omar Vizquel
All of these can, and probably will, be debated (especially Vizquel because of his age), but these are the players I would trust most in the situations in which the designated category matters. For example, in a tie game with 2 outs and the bases empty in the 9th (or extra innings), I would most want Hafner stepping up to the plate for my team.

One added comment, if you were to ask who is the best active player looking at: Ability, Desire, Attitude, Hustle, Great Teammate, Asset to the Game, it would be Ichiro.

Wow, now that I've made my choices and take a look at them, it sure looks like the AL Central is the best division in baseball.
