To some degree...

If ignorance is bliss then it follows that knowledge is despair. The less you know the less you have to worry about. With knowledge comes responsibility which can be a burden. Some knowledge is painful to deal with & you wish you didn't know...

knowledge is not directly related to pain the way you make it sound. if you are really gaining knowledge it will help you understand your pain better, and help you lower your attachment with your pain. attachment not in the sense of love, but in the sense of dwelling on the pain. knowledge when you put in action becomes wisdom.
pain is just an sensation we take on, depending upon the view we take of the matter. for eg you can be bitten by a dog and hate dogs for the rest of your life-this is the pain perspective. the wisdom perspective would be- that i have to be more aware of the dog and make sure not to send a signal whereby s/he feels threatened. so you bring a greater awareness into small actions. that is knowledge.
seriously the more knowledge you acquire, the less you would be attached with your own pain. or the more you will be willing to examine pain from other points of view.

its true to some extent actually.
but if gaining knowledge also increases pain, then knowledge also teaches how to handle that pain.

Gautam buddha attained the true knowledge and yet he could overcome all sufferings and pain by the true knowledge.

Swami vivekananda, Arjuna(in mahabharata), Ramkrishna Paramahansa, etc.
they all gained the truth and the true knowledge, and ended pain and suffering within themselves and the others to some extent.

Knowledge is a very vast subject in which pain is just a part, yes pain increases with knowledge, but at a very slow rate, till the time when knowledge overcomes all pain and sufferings.

No. Gaining knowledge alone will not solve any of our problems. It is the wisdom that we gain from knowledge will bring true joy other wise the pain will increase.

It is indeed right. (... and wrong at the same time)

'Innocence' is what has no pain attatched to it. Once you get out of it, or realize that you 'were' innocent, the pain starts. You learn more,.. you see more.. the pain doubles and triples at a faster and faster pace.

Interestingly, 'knowledge' gives you the wisdom to smile even when you are in trouble. It shows you the pleasure in the pain..... in every pain. If not the pleasure, it atleast gives you a reason as to why it is not a pain..

awareness without awareness and know-how is as having a vehicle interior the desolate tract with an entire gas tank yet being no longer able tocontinual or understand what the keys are for. in a single experience there is discomfort with the acquisition of know-how and records and records. even regardless of the undeniable fact that it somewhat is in basic terms momentary as we are weaned off the phantasm we've been presented with by the powers of the worldwide. If a individual is related to the actual possessions of this existence, or has faith in any man made institutions, then they're going to be bitterly disillusioned on the day they locate the reality. yet awareness to be useful must be awareness of the reality using fact awareness of the fake has a tendency to offer an the two fake experience of risk-free practices. And as Shakespeare wrote in Macbeth - "all of us understand risk-free practices is mortals chiefest enemy".

Yes I feel that when you find out certain truths and understandings about life and people you become more aware and that sometimes brings you pain. Sometimes you can think yourself to insanity trying to create something in the mind...our knowledge has the power to shape our evey reaction in social situations, in career in the way we respond to loved ones etc...Knowledge is better than no knowledge it is how we use it to shape our lives and hopefully pass it on to the generations that follow

I think most ones did not get what you meant.

What I believe is this:
The more one knows, the more pain he/she feels coz found out that others do not understand problems and keep on going their wrong way.
But If one continues and progress in knowing more, finally will found out the facts and rights. The fact is: you can not change those ones who are in the wrong way. You can just improve your own life and can help some people to find out facts. And this system will continue it's own way without you so you should not get upset about the situation.

To get knowledge about a subject will improve your ability to justify the truthfulness. But if go on trying to have more knowledge will give you not only the pain but it will take your peace also.So you should know where to get stopped.

For some time, yes: but, don't stop, then: go on, continue on your quest for knowledge, you will soon reach a state, when there is no pain, there is only joy, pure joy of learning, knowing! (It's like the surgery, or dentists job on you: a little pain to remove all pain, and to give you good health eventually!)
