I try to keep my mouth shut and walk away as soon as possible so I have time to calm down. Try to tell myself that person is not worth getting upset over. I also get help from my little friend -- Xanax.

Things irritate me all the time and I do explode on the inside but on the outside I just smile because I'll remember where I am. Then later on I'll explode on the outside and vent to whoever is there or I'll just vent to myself. I feel better once my feelings are out in the universe.

Yoga as one answer suggested. Chakra meditation and Zen practices are great. Using 'relaxation' cds is an excellent way to meditate.

Also, don't forget your 20 minutes of exercise every day. It burns off the xs adreneline and stuff that you accumulate from daily stress and takes physiology out of the question.

Sounds odd, but I sing or I hum. Just to keep me calm and to take my mind off of things.
