The Borg are alot more mobile then the death Star. The borg also have transportaion abiltiy. They could transport aborb the death star and start assimilating storm troopers. What would that look like?

The Borg Cube, since the Death Star is just a mere sitting duck despite it has a very powerful planet destroying gigantic main cannon. The Death Star need to have its target to stay still for it to fire its main cannon, like in "Return of the Jedi" the Rebel fleet was hold still in formation by regular attacks by the Empire fleet, or else the Rebel fleet would have been able to maneuver out from the Death Star's line of fire.
The Death Star's shield while might be powerful, the Borg Cube would able to adapt to penetrate it. The Borg Cube probably will also able to adapt to the Death Star's other defense system.
Besides, when ILM build the Borg Cube model for the special effects, I think that they use a left over Death Star model and then stick a lot of stuff on it to turn it from a sphere to a cube.
A much more fitting opponent for the Borg Cube that is like the Death Star would be Unicron from the Transformers movie.
Both the Borg Cube and Unicron are into assimilating and are robotic based.

Come on the Borg would just beam drones onto the deathstar before the cube gets blown up and assimilate the Death Star it into their armada as a flag ship!
I can just see it now "Oh may goodness it's Luke of Borg run for your lives!" =P

The Death Star. Borg Cubes don't go around blowing up planets...then again, a Borg Cube can't be destroyed by a proton torpedo...then again it can be destroyed by a quantum torpedo...then again, the cube can recharge its weapons almost instantly and the Death Star takes several hours to recharge...

Since the Cubes' main upside was its ability to adapt to what weaponry was being used against it, I would have to say the Death Star wins this one. Since the Death Star can destroy a planet with one shot, the Cube would be unable to adapt, since it would all be over one shot for the Death Stars' super-laser. Also since the cube usually just floats around and doesn't do anything until attacked, it would probably see the Death Star as a space station and not a threat, then the Death Star would fire up the laser, and boom goes the cube.

Well, if the Death Star managed to get one lucky shot with their huge death ray, it would destroy the Borg Cube. Otherwise, I have to go with the Borg.
Resistance to the power of the dark side is futile.

I'd have to say the borg. Better technology, more adaptiveness.
