When I try to go to yahoo.com on my home computer, it brings me to a site called "Appache". I can go to my.yahoo and every other yahoo website, but only when I try the actual Yahoo site this is what it shows. Same with google.com. I've had this problem before but instead of Appache it brought up another site. I've run all my anti-virus/ad-aware programs and it still doesn't get rid of it. Anyone else ever heard about it or know how to get rid of it?

When I go to the site, the address still says yahoo.com. This is what the site says:
Hey, it worked !
The SSL/TLS-aware Apache webserver was
successfully installed on this website.
If you can see this page, then the people who own this website have just installed the Apache Web server software and the Apache Interface to OpenSSL (mod_ssl) successfully. They now have to add content to this directory and replace this placeholder page, or else point the server at their real content.

You have a browser hijacker. Read the TIP and Note below.

If your PC is acting strangely, it's probably infected with malware. Use the link below to learn more about "malware".

Then, you need to install: ONE Anti-virus (I use AVG free), ONE Firewall (Zone Alarm free), and these Anti-spyware tools: Windows Defender, Spybot, Ad-Aware, Spyware Blaster and cCleaner (free, I use all 5 regularly).

Google for them, install them and learn how to use them (use the Help TAB).

TIP: The apps above can only clean up so much. Last resort, back up (copy to CD / DVD / external hard drive) all personal data and do a Windows "Clean Install", get more info at (www.theeldergeek.com).

Note: Use your Recovery disks, if included with your PC, not a generic XP disk. The Recovery disks may be ON the hard drive, RTFM.

This is very odd, the "Apache" page is what you see when you visit a site hosted on the Apache web server when the site has not been set up yet.

You should NEVER EVER see this when visiting a Google or Yahoo site. Google don't use Apache and Yahoo don't reveal what web server they use, to my knowledge.

I can't tell you why this is happening, but you are right to be worried if your computer is clean and you are entering the correct addresses (everyone makes typo's).

What addresses does this occur on and does it happen every time? Does it occur on
http://www.yahoo.com and http://www.google.com
