I don't grow distant, I've always been that way. When people try to get closer, I may not even realize that they're doing it because I am the way I am.

I have a problem trusting people. Thats usually what makes me grow distant.

People dont like change much. We dont like to break out of our 'comfort zone'. New people or ppl we know who try to get closer, cross some line we've drawn subconsciously between us and others. Its too bad we cant see what it could really mean til its too late.

I just dont get close with anyone,been burned too many times.A few have slipped through the cracks and I WANT them to stay but anymore cant get in I spackled that stuff up but good

A feeling of distrust or signals that tell me something is different with them in some way. It might be too clingy or something similar to that.
It doesn't happen often, but when it does, I follow my instincts on it.

Shyness. It's automatic, when someone wants to get closer, I back up.

someone trying too hard...seems like they have an agenda. I let very few people get close to me...they cause too much pain.

a phoney show of compassion, I don't care what your name is or where you've been, I don't care if people hate you and you go by a different name everyday if your your compassion is genuine I am your friend, if not I'm leaving you behind.

when people try to get too close too fast. i need time to build trust and to get to know that person.
