how do i program my pc to a maximum amount in case of an acquisition on ebay auction?

They set the autobid. It keeps going up until you hit the limit you permit it to bid. The other guy just set a higher limit.

you don't. there is an option on ebay that you enter a maximum bid. i.e.: current bid is $10.00, you enter a bid which you think is reasonable say $50.00. ebay automatically bids for you by just staying ahead of other bids. ebay makes the bid $10.50. another buyer bids $12.00, ebay automatically bid for you $12.50. this goes on until ebay hits your limit of $50.00. so if some one bids $50.50 you loose
