To find the equations of the asymptotes, you change the 1 on the RHS to 0. That gives:
y^2 / 4 - x^2 / 16 = 0
y^2 / 4 = x^2 / 16
Taking the square root:
y / 2 = +/- x / 4
y = +/- x/2.

2y-x=0 and 2y+x=0
